Enchantment - Original Painting

About this Painting:

Size: 40 x 40cm

Medium: Acrylic Paint

This piece was painted on artist grade canvas panel.

I was inspired to create this painting after a walk through Delamere Forest. The abundance of foxglove flowers caught my eye and formed the subject of this painting. I wanted to incorporate fairy folklore into the meaning of this piece since there has long been an association between fairies and foxgloves. Folklore says that fairies gave the flowers to foxes to wear on their paws so they could tread silently when hunting.
